   As an integral phase of the future Putera Sampoerna University, the Sampoerna 

  School of Business or SSB will be the second tertiary institution after the Sampoerna School of

Promotions & Marketing - Officer

 

This position is expected to manage and implement the University’s Marketing, External Relations, Partnerships, Research, Recruitment, Branding and Sponsorship programs.

 

Main Responsibilities:

1. Focus on the following activities:

    a. Work with the Academic Team to communicate and create awareness of the programs through the following:

        - Conduct marketing activities for the program and develop relevant marketing collaterals and advertising materials

        - Organize and schedule road-shows and events

    b. Work with Admissions & Student Management to manage applications

    c. Work with the Academic Team to develop partnerships with Schools for on-the-job orientation

    d. Provide student support for the following tasks:

        - Collection of information on job opportunities for the students

        - Coordinate job placements based on the performance and relevance

 

2. Manage Marketing, External Relations & Partnerships for the following:

    a. Marketing Management:

        - Develop Marketing Initiatives, in support of Corporate sponsorships and student recruitment and enrollment

        - Plan and execute Marketing programs and activities

        - Support the achievement of agreed targets

        - Track and monitor results of Marketing initiatives

        - Track and measure ROI of all Marketing activities

        - Review Marketing activities and performance for improvement

    b. Sales Management:

        - Develop the Sales strategy in line with the Marketing strategy

        - Build and manage the Sales team

        - Track and monitor, targets, performances and KPI’s

    c. Marketing Research & Business Intelligence:

        - Conduct Marketing research in line with the vision, mission and charter of SSB

        - Analyze the data and research information to recommend areas for improvement and focus

        - Observe and monitor the latest developments in the industry and track competitive university products,

          services, learning and teaching methods, content and materials enhancement, ICT enhancement, etc

    d. Branding:

        - Execute Branding activities

        - Support Branding guidelines, compliance and audits (conducted by SF)

        - Track results

    e. Sponsorships and Donations

 

Requirements:

 · Minimum 3 years of working experience in a relevant field 

 · Minimum S1 graduate in Marketing or Business

 · Previous work experience in educational institutions would be an advantage

 · Possess strong administrative skills with a keen attention to details

 · Mature and presentable, with strong interpersonal and communication skills

 · Fluent in both spoken and written English

 · Skilled in various computer applications (Office, Internet, etc.)

 

 

Program Admission - Officer

 

This position is expected to serve all academic administration functions related to students’ academic affairs, both current and future.

 

Main Responsibilities:

1. Manage new Student selection process

 

2. Manage scholarships and Student achievements including:

    a. Liaising with the donors and sponsors

    b. Manage donations for scholarship programs

    c. Manage Full Scholarship Programs (communicate, conduct selection, announce the results, etc)

    d. Manage Partial Scholarship Programs (communicate, conduct selection, announce the result, etc)

    e. Prepare the report for Donors accordingly in an accurate and timely manner

 

3. Work closely with the Scholarship Officer to execute programs in the following areas:

    a. General information, registration forms, reference forms, and other forms supporting the scholarship

        socialization process

    b. Manage scholarship contracts between SF Scholarships and the Sampoerna School of Business

    c. Select appropriate vendors for the Scholarship Selection Process including MoU, Berita Acara and Quotation 

        preparation

    d. Socialize scholarship programs to high school students in line with the Scholarship Department’s

        recommendations and guidlines

    e. Coordinate and actively participate in the selection process such as, panel discussions, group discussions, 

        social observation and home visits

    f. Manage the registration process and administration of new students

 

4. Support of Marketing:

    a. Work together with the Academic team and the Marketing team to advertise and communicate on the following

        tasks:

        - Marketing activities for the programs

        - Assist in the development of advertising materials

        - Participate and support the road-shows and events with Marketing

 

Requirements:

 · Minimum 3 years of working experience

 · Minimum S1 graduate in any major

 · Previous work experience in educational institutions would be an advantage

 · Possess strong project management

 · Mature and presentable, with strong interpersonal and communication skills

 · Fluent in both spoken and written English

 · Skilled in various computer applications (Office, Internet, etc.)

 

 

Program Admission - Officer

 

This position is expected to assist the Program Admission Officer in all academic administration functions related to students’ academic affairs, both current and future.

 

Main Responsibilities:

1. Manage the administration of faculty evaluations

 

2. Work closely with the Scholarship Administrator, the Selection Officer and the Scholarship Officer to support

   student recruitment:

    a. Process the financial documents (PR, CA, TAF etc.)

    b. Develop and distribute general information, registration forms, reference forms, and other forms supporting

        the scholarship socialization program

    c. Manage the MoU, Berita Acara and Quotation for vendors to be submitted to GA

    d. Coordinate the logistics for the socialization of scholarship programs to high school students in line with

        Scholarship Department’s recommendation and guidance

    e. Manage the data entry process for recording applicants’ information

    f. Manage the contract process for Scholarship Recipients

 

3. Manage Student Services in areas such as:

    a. New student selection process

    b. Student admission/registration and re-admission

    c. Manage student academic and learning process

    d. Support for evaluation/grading of study program and remedial programs where necessary

    e. Support for graduation

 

 4. Provide support for lecturers in the following areas:

    a. Support of lecturers, directly related to the learning process

    b. Manage time, activities and other information which impact payroll

    c. Manage administration of evaluation/grading of study program

    d. Perform other lecturer services

 

 5. Support the development and enhancement of lecturer’s academic grade

 

 6. Manage the graduation process:

    a. Plan graduation activities, including the budget

    b. Prepare certificate and transcript

    c. Perform quality checks and manage authorized signing process

    d. Manage certificate distribution

    e. Manage rehearsal activities

    f. Manage Graduation Ceremony

    g. Track and monitor the results

 

 7. Other activities:

     a. Work together with Marketing and Sales to manage applications, and classifications (Economics &

        Accounting and Management)

    b. Manage the selection process including announcement letters, postings on the website, etc

 

Requirements:

 · Minimum 3 years of working experience

 · Minimum D3 graduate in any major (preferably in Administration or Communications)

 · Previous work experience in educational institutions would be an advantage

 · Possess strong administrative skills with a keen attention to details

 · Mature and presentable, with strong interpersonal and communication skills

 · Possess a strong passion to deal with student academic affairs and able to communicate effectively at all levels

   within the school

 · Fluent in both spoken and written English

TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM
ACADEMIC YEAR 2009/2010
 
The Teacher Education Programme (TEP) is an intensive one-year programme designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to become professional primary or secondary school teacher. The programme is suitable for all but particularly meets the needs of teachers seeking a position in a National Plus and Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional.
 
WHO SHOULD JOIN THIS PROGRAMME
•    Any S-1 degree holder without any background from educational faculty (non teacher) but have desire on becoming professional teacher for the future career are welcome to apply
•    Teachers with S-1 degree who are currently teaching at primary and/or secondary school who have desire to upgrade their teaching competencies.
 
CHOICE OF STUDY

The participants of the TEP may choose one out of four course subject ;
•    Course for primary school teacher
•    Course for secondary school Mathematics teacher
•    Course for secondary school English Language teacher

ESN with Tony Buzan-MIND MAPPING Print E-mail

 

 

The most recent SFTI’s Educators Sharing Network, in collaboration with PT. Planet Edupro and SIM Professional Development, presented the mind management expert and Mind Map inventor Tony Buzan. Event was held last Saturday, April 18th 2009 at Anjungan Provinsi Lampung, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah.


As the preview for the upcoming Tony Buzan Seminar in the 3rd week of August 2009, he brought up a number of interesting points in this 2 hours sharing session. He specifically expressed his appreciation to teachers and educators community in general, and more specifically attending participants. He even presented his session as a discussion on how teachers should carry their roles in “education”. Tony has reminded all participants at the beginning of the session to set a space in their note for the definitions of a teacher that he will talk about along this session.  The following passages are key points from my note:

 

1.Teacher holds the biggest responsibility for the future
How far they are in utilizing this power become significant, it is a curse as well as a gift of the teaching profession.

 

2. Teacher is the rescuer of human creativity
Tony Buzan spoken about a research on human creativity, which assessed its differing levels at certain age groups. A very interesting result ensued; whereby average creativity scores for students in kindergarten are 95+, in primary are 75, in secondary are 50, in tertiary are 25 and adults are 10. Quite a few minuses were even found in the adult category. He held education system responsible, as opposed to the failure of education. According to Tony Buzan failure of bad education certainly is possible; but good education would not fail. He emphasized that should education and learning activities been conducted properly, human mind will progressively improve and becoming more creative as they mature.

Requirements :
•    Bachelor Degree in any discipline
•    Solid experience in General Affairs and General Services area (including university canteen / food services, car-pool, cleaning service, etc)
•    Good English skill both spoken and written
•    Some experience in preparing contract and simple negotiation and some legal knowledge about contract arrangement
•    Preferably, some knowledge in building management.
•    Good communication skill especially in negotiation skill
•    High integrity
•    Proactive and self-starter,  can perform well with minimum supervisory and guidance
•    Entrepreneurship skill.
•    Experience in working for an educational institution would be an advantage


 

2.   Head of ICT Department (HI-SSE)

 

Requirements :

•    At least Bachelor Degree, preferably Master Degree in area of IT / ICT / Computer Science / Electronics (majoring IT)
•    Minimum 2 years of  experience as Head/Manager of ICT organization unit
•    Excellent knowledge, skill and hands-on experience of developing and implementing IT Architecture, IT Strategy, IT Infrastructure, IT Security and required IT Software particularly on those related to internet, data transfer, on-line application, video conferencing, etc
•    Creative, proactive, out-of-the-box thinking and always updated with the latest update in ICT world
•    Compliance to the IT policy and procedure (particularly on IT Security)
•    Strong integrity (able to manage highly confidential data)
•    Experience with organization data back-up and DRP (Disaster Recovery Planning)
•    Excellent English skill, both spoken and written
•    Good network with ICT practioner and expert both local and overseas.

 

 

3.   ICT Officer (OI-SSE)

 

Requirements :

•    Bachelor Degree in area of IT / ICT / Computer Science / Electronics (majoring IT)
•    Minimum 2 years of experience as ICT Officer.
•    Good Experience in LAN infrastructure, operating systems, data base applications, computer programming language.
•    Good English skill both spoken and written
•    Solid computer literacy skill in MS Office
•    Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skill
•    Experience in working for an educational institution would be an advantage

 

 

4.  ICT Staff (SI-SSE)

 

Requirements :

•    Bachelor Degree in area of IT / ICT / Computer Science / Electronics (majoring IT)
•    Minimum 2 years of experience as ICT Staff
•    Good Experience in LAN infrastructure and operating systems
•    Good English skill both spoken and written
•    Solid computer literacy skill in MS Office
