An Educator Sharing Network (ESN) titled Green School: How to Make it Work?’ was conducted on Friday March 22nd.  The topic chosen is in line with the upcoming Kongres Guru Indonesia (KGI) theme: Education for Sustainable Development.

The afternoon was hosted by Ms Stien J. Matakupan as the facilitator,  Ms Rina Kusuma from Yayasan Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia (KEHATI) as the special guest with Mrs Maryam Mursadi (Mima)  as moderator.   Mr Ken Cock  SFTI Director gave a welcoming speech to kick off the ESN event.

Stien and Rina highlighted the ability of schools to create a dynamic young generation who will be able to preserve our earth’s heritage by encouraging and facilitating students to be actively involved in biodiversity through learning inside and outside the classroom.

The key success indicator of this project is determined by the teachers’ and schools’ commitment, readiness and participation in designing a sustained and effective learning process.

There were ninety-five participants.  Each of the participants received a certificated for attending the ESN event.
