Seminar: Nurturing our Youth

Interactive discussion on key issues and demonstration of practical approaches for teaching and educating young people.

Target audience: pre-school to Year 12 teachers/educators.

Objectives

1. To address the concept of the importance of educating young children and youth as future leaders.
2. To introduce the concept of developing learning community as a collaboration between schools, teachers, parents and other social community.
3. To provide participant with an insightful view about the current international issues, practices and research findings for teaching and educating children and youth.
4. To propose the integration of mentioned concepts into practical methods.

Facilitators

Prof. Dr. Libby Cohen
Professor Emerita of the University of Southern Maine, United States of America. Prof. Cohen is passionate about improving the lives of children, youth, and adults with disabilities.

Prof. Dr. Loraine Spenciner

Professor at the University of Maine at Farmington, United States of America. Prof. Spenciner’s interests and research include strategies and technology to support young children in inclusive environments.
